Ms. Possell was an incredible help during my college application process! I truly don’t think I would have applied to my dream school, and gotten accepted, without her guidance. One of the biggest decisions I faced was where to apply Early Decision. My whole family had attended a different school, and I was torn between following that path or applying to Dartmouth, the school I had dreamed of since I was little. I still remember her saying, “It seems like your heart is with Dartmouth, so apply ED to Dartmouth.” That conversation gave me the confidence to apply, and I was accepted. Now, I’ve had the most amazing time here.

 

Beyond that, she supported me with every part of the application process: essays, extracurriculars, and even scholarship advice. Her office was always a safe, welcoming space where I could work without judgment. She consistently gave thoughtful feedback, whether it was on the wording of an essay or how to order extracurriculars on the CommonApp. Once I got accepted, she celebrated with me wholeheartedly. It was clear she was just as excited as I was.

 

I know I wouldn’t be at Dartmouth today without Ms. Possell’s encouragement and advice. I feel so lucky to have had her as my advisor, and I know I can always reach back out to her and be welcomed with open arms.
